Liis Vares and Taavet Jansen: Still Moving (2025)

Wednesday, 26 November at 5:00 p.m.
VR installation
Kino Šiška, Katedrala
Duration: 60 min.

In Still Moving, Liis Vares, choreographer, and Taavet Jansen, an interdisciplinary artist and researcher, whose work integrates movement, digital technologies, and interactive performance, invite the audience into a space where instinctive physicality meets linguistic thinking, using mixed reality. The project, part of the larger Held in Human series, explores the meaning of presence and “being in a body” in a contemporary world where technology significantly extends and mediates human experience. Still Moving invites up to three performers–audience members at a time to enter a dynamic “thought space” and lend their bodies to its dramaturgy. Equipped with a see-through VR headset that allows for both physical and digital navigation, each participant brings their own unique physicality, imagination, and interpretation, contributing to an evolving choreographic language and inclusive dramaturgy.
