GHYSLAINE GAU<\/b><\/p>\n

Dancer, choreographer, and contemporary artist Ghyslaine Gau was born in Marseille to parents from Martinique. In 1998 she joined a programme for professional dancers in Montpellier. In her dance work she focuses on the social aspects of artistic practice, collaborating with marginalised communities and working in psychiatric institutions, health education institutions and prisons. Living between Berlin, Montpellier, and Martinique, she brings a global perspective into her work and practice, drawing on a broad range of cultural and intellectual traditions. As a participant in the Creative Crossroads (Life Long Burning) programme, she is developing the project S.U.T.U.R.E, which engages with displaced persons, interweaving inner human cartographies with field research.<\/span><\/p>\n

MACIEJ SADO\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Maciej Sado is a choreographer, dancer, performer, dramaturg, educator, curator, and whatever else the precarious world of the expanded field of dance and choreography demands of him. He graduated from the School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam and completed a master’s degree in fine arts at the AdBK in Nuremberg. He also holds a degree in Health Sciences from the University of Wroc\u0142aw. In his work and research, he focuses on the imperative of imitation, the finishing of works, the consequences of things, object materiality, queer masculinity, and crochet. Lately he has been looking for a hobby. At CoFestival he will be an artist in residence within the On The Outset programme (Life Long Burning), in which artists with different profiles are hosted by partner programmes in order to acquire a range of creative and organisational skills. He is coming to us at the initiative of our partner Uferstudios in Berlin.<\/span><\/p>\n
