\nexceptional physicality and specific corporeality, which address both the audience\u2019s gaze
\nand their body. With musicians Bo\u0161tjan Simon and Elvis Homan, he created the
\nperformance Resurrection 2.0, which unravels the horizontal experience of sound,
\nmovement and time as a set of equivalent elements that happen simultaneously and form
\nthe basis for a proprioceptive experience of dance. From one second to the next we are
\ninvited to be present to what is happening here and now. The materiality of sound,
\ntogether with the temporality and rhythmicity of the body, intertwine to create a loud,
\npresent but unobtrusive event that is impossible to evade. Both dance and music affect the
\nwhole body and show us another possible side of empathy. Where the sound is silenced,
\nthe movement continues, where the rhythm of the movement subsides, the loud sound
\npersists.\u00a0In the performance, the resurrection is no longer ethereal, but raw, sweaty, multi-
\nlayered and inevitable.
\nBeno Novak (1991), dancer and choreographer, graduated from Salzburg\u2019s SEAD, then
\ncontinued at the Tisch NYU and The Place London. He collaborated with Gary Clarke
\nCompany, Jason Mabana Dance, James Wilton Dance company, etc. Novak\u2019s work is a
\nconstant exploration of personal experiences expressed through a strong physicality,
\nmixed with sensitivity, fragility, power and exhaustion. Much of his work is done in
\ncollaboration with other artists such as the duet 400 Rabbits with Marina Abib, the solo
\nOwe by Junior Mufutau Jussuf, and Body Concert with Ana Romih, and others.
\nCollaboration with other artists is a necessary ingredient in the creation of his works. He is
\nthe artistic and executive director of the Summer Intensive Festival in Portugal and the
\nKalejdoskop Festival in Slovenia.
\nElvis Homan (1991) is a drummer, sound designer, composer, educator. He graduated
\nfrom Codarts Rotterdam and University of Ljubljana, and is completing a Masters\u2019 degree
\nat Academy in Amsterdam (composition and live electronics). He is a winner of Erasmus
\nJazz Prijs 2016 and 2017, De Doelen Rotterdam and Leiden Jazz Award 2017. He
\nperformed at many festivals in Slovenia and abroad, is a member of Rotterdam Electronic
\nOrchestra, Quartzite 4tet, Punky Button Clan, Void Noise, aug.unis and participated in
\nother international projects. With Bo\u0161tjan Simon, he composed music for the film Haxan.
\nBo\u0161tjan Simon (1982) is an instrumentalist, educator, producer. He graduated from
\nUniversity of Ljubljana and Amsterdam Conservatory. He is a founding member of
\nKau\u010di\u010d\u2019s international band \u201cOrkester brez meja\u201d (Borderless Orchestra) and artistic co-<\/p>\n

director of Sax Go International Saxophonists\u2019 Meeting. He is regarded as one of the best
\nsaxophone players in Slovenia and works regularly around the globe.<\/p>\n
